The CALC system provides accurate vertical control of any crane tool. It is designed as a hardware solution to meet vertical requirements for dredging and placement applications in marine construction. CALC outputs all raw and calculated data as a readable ASCII string making integration with software simple. Included with the sensor package is a configuration software making programming, calibration, and stand alone monitoring achievable by the crew.
CALC monitors the cable payout of a crane along with boom angle, machine pitch, machine roll, barge pitch, barge roll, barge draft. Other requirements such as grade alarm, drum speed indictor, and clamshell open/close status are supported by CALC.
